Original acrylic painting on canvas, 30" × 30" × 1.5".
Rich earth tones anchor the base — deep sienna and bronze swirling beneath an explosion of textured greens. Layers of raised, sculptural foliage build upward, each leaf shape distinct and alive, climbing toward an open sky of cerulean blue. Ghosted architectural forms drift through the atmosphere above — quiet, almost memory-like — as if civilization exists at the edge of something far older and more powerful than itself. Teal drips thread through the composition, connecting sky to soil, reminding us that everything returns to the earth eventually.
This piece came from somewhere deeper than planning. Somewhere in the process I realized I was grounding myself — working through a season of transformation, of figuring out where I'm going and who I'm becoming as an artist. The same week I finished it, I attended an expressive art class where a mandala I created was interpreted as a symbol of rebirth. I didn't connect the two until after. The earth knows before we do.
For collectors who find peace in the natural world — and who recognize the feeling of being in the middle of becoming something new.
