Geometric shapes in teal, lavender, purple, gray, black, white, and burnt sienna are divided by warm unbleached lines — controlled, deliberate, holding everything in its place. And then the splatter comes. Black paint thrown across the surface, chaotic and honest, refusing to be contained by the structure underneath.
Tucked into the lines between the shapes — nearly invisible until you look closely — are words cut from newspaper: heart. space. love. questions. home. life. better future. family. The things we carry. The things we're still reaching for.
This piece came from a season of grief and heartache. But beauty kept showing up anyway. It always does.
